Australia Travel – Byron Bay by aschaf, on Flickr

Guess where we haven’t traveled to yet? Australia.  Yup, still haven’t made it to the great Gold Coast or any type of Australia travel. Byron Bay is a popular stop for backpackers exploring the Australian coast, but yet, these 2 Backpackers haven’t made the trip yet. It’s not a cheap country, so maybe a hostel will still suffice.

Bob says:

Not just Byron Bay, but that whole area of the New South Wales coast is magnificent. Great balmy weather, good surfing and fishing also

Mark Hansen says:

Byron Bay and the Gold Coast are very much a beautiful part of Australia and the world. But there are so many places to see in Oz (and it is a big continent) that it’s almost impossible to see it all in a reasonable time frame. But it’s fun trying anyway. 🙂

You have to come to Australia. Byron Bay is great but you have to see the really important things like the great barrier reef and uluru.

Dean says:

I was just down in Byron Bay last week. It’s one of my favourite day trips out of Brisbane. Certainly a popular spot but for good reason.

Christopher says:

A little “populated” for my tastes but beautiful nonetheless… Would love to make it to Oz one day

Nic Freeman says:

Thanks for sharing Jason. This made me miss home a little and crave the beach (I’m from Bellingen NSW, been living in Brisbane QLD but am currently travelling Europe for 9 months). This image is a long way from the rainy streets of Istanbul, where I am today.

There are some great little sights around Byron. If you’re interested in little towns with great cafes / restaurants / quirky antiques. interesting locals and awesome scenery en route, you may be interested in Mullumbimby, Newrybar & Bangalow – check out my post about the area from last year http://wp.me/p12XwO-bF . Cheers, Nic
