I am not a geologist but I do love rocks and am an amateur collector. I wonder where this magnificent speciman came from and how large it was originally………………..the erosion from the sea, sand and elements, had to make a dent in its size over the milleniums. The surrounding sand has to be part of that great rock.

These boulders dotted the beaches. They were huge and yes, extremely smooth from the erosion.
