During our exploration of Northern Argentina we visited Salinas Grandes. These are the largest Salt Flats in Argentina covering an area of 3,200 mi² (8,290 km²). This main highway runs right through the Salt Flats providing excellent panoramic views.

This breath taking view is located just north of a small town called Campo Quijano.  From Campo Quijano we raced our rental car to catch a glimpse of the Train of the Clouds (or Tren de las Nubes), a popular tourist attraction in northern Argentina.

This has to be one of the most color filled landscapes we have seen during our travels. This photo is of a river valley we drove adjacent to from Cafayate to Salta in Northern Argentina.
